James Claude Manning of Hanahan, S.C. went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2016. He was born in Gaffney, S.C. in 1925, served in the Navy during WWII, attended the University of North Carolina, and completed a successful sales career with Beechnut Lifesavers Company. He was the beloved father of five daughters: Sarah Davis, Sandra King, Claudia Wilson, Jenny Cooksey and Melissa Fisher; and the beloved grandfather of nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be at 11AM Thursday, March 10th at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406 with a service to be held at noon at the same location.
