Jim was born on October 28, 1937, to the late Luther Hammock and Alice Hamilton in Baxter, Tennessee.
Jim is survived by three sons; Jimmy and wife Bonnie, Lonnie and wife Lori, Michael and wife Heather, and one daughter, Susan Elrod and partner David Waters; three step sons, Ty Mays and wife Michele, Darrel Mays, and Randy Mays and wife Lupi.
Jim is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Pat, daughter Tammy Block, son-in-law Perry Elrod, two great granddaughters Dylan Kulik and Faith Kulik, as well as one brother Bob Hammock, and one sister Ellen Crawford.
A visitation will be held for James at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 2pm-3pm with a Life Well Celebrated Service at 3pm in the funeral home chapel.
Followed by the burial at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
