Frank was the son of the late Frank and Catherine Rubino (nee Rizzuto). He was born March 29, 1948 in Newark and grew up in West Milford, NJ. After marrying Shelley in 1981, they eventually moved to Hamburg, NJ where they resided for 20 years before moving to South Carolina in 2016.
He is survived by his four children, Frank Rubino Jr. of Andover, NJ, Nicole Rubino of Mine Hill, NJ, Cheyenne Jannace (Michael) of Hanahan, SC and Catherine Meyer (Matthew) of Hanahan, SC and his sister Catherine Horsburgh (Thomas). He was also a proud grandfather to Madison Rubino, Ava Rubino, Savanah Turner, Lucas Meyer, Lucy Meyer, Benjamin Jannace and Mila Jannace.
Frank was a quality engineer in the aerospace industry for over 30 years. While he had a fulfilling career, he always said his family was his biggest accomplishment in life. He adored and cherished the relationships he had with his wife, children and grandchildren. Aside from his unwavering love of family, he had an endless passion for animals, especially his two dogs Sammy and Cheech.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Eunoia Rescue in Charleston, SC.
A private graveside service will be held at Carolina Memorial Gardens.
