Donald Dean Smith

Donald Dean Smith, 87, of Charleston, widower of Shirley Estridge, entered into eternal rest Friday April 27, 2018. The relatives and friends of Donald Smith are invited to attend his graveside services on Monday April 30, 2018 at Carolina Memorial Park at the Scattering Garden.

Donald was born in Lost City, WV, a son of the late Kyle Smith and Ada Houchins Smith. He was a zoning director for Fairfax, VA for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, playing his guitar, country western movies and fishing. He was a man of great faith!

He is survived by a step son: Dan Martz of Trevor, WI, granddaughters: Shelby Sylvester, Amanda and Bethany Smith Mansfield, great grandsons: Jameson Sylvester and Wyatt Mowery. Loved and cared for by the Jensen and Carter families.

In lieu of flowers: Donations may be made in his honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
