Delanda Dean Oxford

Delanda was born on Jan. 22, 1936, In Valdese NC to the late parents of Walter and Myrtle Coffey Oxford

He is survived by his daughter Michelle Ritchie, grandson Ethan Ritchie. Sisters Jane Rahn and Myrna Citron

Preceded by wife Brenda Oxford

Del was raised in a Christian home. Attended school in Valdese NC and would later attend NC State. He loved his family, and they love him.

Joined the Air Force just out of high school. One of the best choices he ever made.

He loved the armed forces, air planes, cars and food. He was a talented writer and enjoyed writing the 315th Newsletters for many years.

He had a long, beautiful life filled with many adventures. I could not be prouder to call him my dad.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home from 12-2 pm. A Life Well Celebrated Service will be at the funeral home chapel starting at 2pm. The entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park mausoleum.
