David Patrick Brown, 33, born in Charleston, SC, had his life cut short in the early hours of Feb 15, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 10 years Tracy Brown, his son Jonathan Brown, his father and step-mother David and Jennifer Brown, his mother and step-father Liza and Dave Clark, his brothers Jacob Clark, Eric and Justin (Lauren) Flowe, his grandparents, his aunts and uncles, his many cousins, his nieces and nephews, and his incredible number of friends, Patrick served as an infantryman in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY, and the 25th Infantry Division at Fort Wainwright, AK. He achieved the rank of Sergeant, before pursuing his various business and education interests. He had mentioned many times that joining the military was the best decision he had ever made, and he was proud to have served his country. Patrick had many interests, and considered himself an expert in all of them. He played the drums and also taught himself guitar, working with multiple bands to add his special flair to their music. He was so passionate for sports that he started 61 Sports, a baseball academy. His love for Clemson football was apparent by his insistence on wearing their distinct orange color. The proudest moment in Patrick’s life was becoming a father. His love for his son was obvious to anyone who spoke with him. His goal in life was to be the best father he could be. Patrick will be remembered for his ability to be the life of every party, his ability to talk with everyone he met, and for the lasting impression he left on the people he loved. He will be remembered as the one who stood up for the little guy, he was a protector to his family and friends, and he worked to bring acceptance for service members suffering from PTSD and helped many of his brothers in their time of need. He will be remembered for the music he brought into people’s lives, the laughter into his friends hearts, the strength and courage he gave to his nation, and of course the love he gave and shared with his family. The relatives and friends of Patrick are invited to attend his funeral services on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at 2 pm at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
