Clark Perry Smith Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Clark P. Smith Jr. announces his passing on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at the age of 80 years. Clark will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Norma and his son, Clark, III and daughter-in-law, Stacie. Clark will also be forever remembered by his two grandchildren, Nicholas and Kaydee, by his sister, Dorothy Wilson, and his sister-in-law, Barbara Bell. Clark was predeceased by his parents, Clark Sr. and Pearl Smith, brother, Vernon Smith, sister, Vera Erskine, and daughter, Laura D. Smith.

Clark was born February 11, 1938 in Williamston, SC. He was a 1960 graduate of Clemson University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked at the Charleston Naval Shipyard for 37 years and Sears for 10 years. Clark was a devoted husband and father, and grandfather to his family. He enjoyed gardening and walking outdoors. Clark truly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and never missed a sporting event that they were involved in.

Visitation for Clark will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. A celebration of Clark's life will begin at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Carolina Memorial Gardens.
