Charles E Smith

He was born March 13, 1946, in Cardiff, Alabama to the late Charles H. Smith and the late Mavis Reno Smith.

He started working for Adams Electric Service in Summerville, eventually becoming the owner and operator after Mr. Adams death.

To some he was known as "Smitty" and to others as "Bubba", but to his family and friends they knew "Smitty" was a hard working, yet simple man, who took care of his family.

Mr. Smith will be missed by his surviving family, including his loving wife of 52 years, Wanda Smith, his loving daughter, Angie Lyons, his precious granddaughter, Trittney Bella Lyons, his five sisters, Sandra Greenhill, Glenda Barnes, Brenda Mellard, Sheila Martin, and Deborah Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, 'Smitty' was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Eric Christopher Lyons, and a sister, Martha Winninham.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, September 21, 2019, at 12:30 pm in the Chapel of Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, in North Charleston.
