Bobby J Gainey

Bobby Gainey, 72, of North Charleston, husband of Faye Freeman Gainey, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 27, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family. The relatives and friends of Bobby Gainey are invited to attend his funeral services on Friday March 31, 2017 at 1 pm at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 – 7 pm at the funeral home. Bobby was born in Monck’s Corner, SC, a son of the late Sam D. Gainey and Doshia Deas Gainey. He enjoyed fishing, coaching for many years at the North Charleston Recreation Department, going on cruises and NASCAR racing( Bobby used to race cars at Summerville Speedway). He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard and the North Charleston Recreation Department. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Faye Gainey, daughter: Donna Prowell (John) of Summerville, son: Joey Gainey (Jessica) of North Charleston, granddaughter: Savannah Gainey, sister: Pauline McGraw of Spartanburg, SC.
