Blondell C Cook, 91, of North Charleston, SC, widow of Charles McDuffy Cook, passed away Sunday October 7, 2018. She was born on February 13, 1927 in Hemingway, SC to the late William Talbert and Isla Miles Cox.
Blondell graduated from Emmanuel Junior College. She became a Financial Secretary and worked for Sam Solomon Company and Solomon Group for over 50 years. She was one of the founders of Life Christian Assembly where she served as the church Secretary and Treasurer. She also helped to establish and served on the board of the SC Chapter of Women’s Aglow, an International Christian Organization. She also served on the National Women’s Board.
She is survived by her son, Charles Milton Cook, her daughter, Bonnie Cook Miles-Scott, two grandchildren, Ramsey Miles Scott and Chelsea Scott Keyes (Peter), a brother, Shevill W. Cox (Linda), a sister, Gloria Cox Kroll, and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased in death by her sister Louise Hughes, and brothers, Rudy Cox and Norman Cox.
The family will receive friends Monday October 15 from 10AM to 12 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12 PM in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery.
