Barbara J Carpenter

As the dedicated wife of 52 years of the late GySgt. James R. Carpenter, Sr., United States Marines, Retired, Barbara created a wonderful, loving home for their children: James R. Carpenter, Jr and wife Kim of Columbia SC, Donna Deal of Lickenville PA, Cheryl Carpenter (deceased), and Terri Hammond and husband Keith of Summerville SC; 6 grandchildren, Trish Poston and husband Nate with great-granddaughter Marley, Melanie Price and husband Todd with great-grandson Joshua Dupre and Jeremy Carpenter, all in Columbia SC, Garrett Deal and children in CO, Gregory Deal and children in PA and Jason Deal (deceased) of PA. Barbara cherished her family and gatherings.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Carolina Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremation located at 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. 843-797-2222.

Barbara’s funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel at 11am. Entombment will be at Carolina Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to a Disabled American Veterans Organization of your choice.
