Audrey Hilley Echols

Audrey Hilley Echols, age 92, of Hanahan, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Audrey was born in Iva, South Carolina on January 27, 1930 to Luther A. Hilley Sr. and Harriet Campbell Hilley.

Audrey is survived by her daughters Sandrea Lynne Echols Ruff (Donald) of Summerville, South Carolina and Jacquelyn A. Echols Glover (Allen) of Augusta, Georgia; her son Charles Gregory Echols (Cindy) of Hanahan, South Carolina; her granddaughters Allison Dawn Igou of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina Lindsey Echols Pritchard of Hanahan, South Carolina and Lauren Echols Watkins of Blue Ridge, Georgia; and her great grandchildren James "Jimmy" Igou III, Kaylee Jacquelyn Igou, Max Jameson Igou, and Wyatt Tyler Watkins.

Audrey is preceded in death by her husband Charles Graham Echols of Tignall, Georgia; three brothers Luther A. Hilley Jr., Jerrell Hilley, Carlos E. Hilley; four sisters Ruth Voyles, Frances Carter, Mildred Tyner, and Irma Slater; and her granddaughter Jacquelyn Nicole Ruff.

She was a member of the Highland Park Baptist church in Hanahan, SC. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed being outdoors. She retired from the North Charleston Sewer District as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor.

A visitation for Audrey will be held on Monday October 17, 2022 at 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a funeral service the following day Tuesday October 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with a graveside service to follow.
