Amelia-Rose was born in Charleston, South Carolina on April 25, 2020. She was the daughter of Samantha Platts and Joseph O’Brien.
Amelia was the strongest and most brave 4 year old anyone had ever met. For 2 years of her life she battled against cancer and you would've never known it. With everything she had been through, she would still wake up every morning with a smile on her face and say, “It’s morning outside”. She continued to amaze everyone that had ever met her. She truly was the most beautiful, most brave, strongest and silliest little girl you'd ever meet. Amelia loved to ride the golf cart to go and feed “ Mr.Wiseman” and all the stray cats, throwing rocks into the pond, playing roblox with daddy and her cousins, loved dancing and singing to her favorite songs, playing in the rain and all the rain puddles but most importantly she absolutely loved spending time with her family and friends. She would always put a smile on everyone's face no matter what was going on and she would always let you know how much she loved you. Her love and her crazy spirit was, and will always be, the highlight of everyone's lives.
Amelia is survived by her parents, Samantha Platts and Joseph O’Brien; her grandparents, Kari Gonzales (Gigi), Charles Grooms (Poppa), Christy O’Brien (Nana) and Shawn O’Brien (Pa); her great grandparents, Gina and Lee Sperlich, Lynn Platts, Teresa Grooms, Percy and Connie Grooms, Joe and Debbie Harley, Rhonda and Paul Grimes and Barbara Judy and William Laffey; Uncle and Aunts, Kevin and Hannah Barrineau, Kenneth Platts and Julia Walker, Rhaygen and Graceann Platts, Tayler, Colby and Emily Grooms, Tyler and Lexi O’Brien, Sheldon O’Brien and Rodney and Carly Carmichael and her Cousins, Everleigh Platts, Rodney Jr. Carmichael, AB, Ayden, and Camden Barrineau, Easton, Harley and Paisley O’Brien, Ayla O’Brien, Braxton and River Masara.
