OBITUARY Allen Prioleau Jr. passed away peacefully on January 7, 2017 in Charleston, South Carolina at the age of 85. Allen was born on April 20, 1931 in Charleston, South Carolina to Allen and Hattie Prioleau. He pursued a military career with the United States Army as a young man. Later in life he married Eva Nell Love. After moving to Chicago, IL, Allen began working for Amtrak Railroad as a Sous Chef which he retired after giving more than 40 years. The couple welcomed two daughters into the world {Ava and Sandra}. His children remember him as a kind, soft spoken, hard-working, and loving father who encouraged them to pursue their dreams. His interests included family, taking walks, and spending time with friends. He was a devoted and dedicated member of the Friendship Missionary Church. His charm and smile was embraced by all. Allen is survived by his children, Ava Simpson (Larry) of Bellwood, IL, Sandra Sims (Kelly) of Berwyn, IL. Grandchildren, Zikkiyyia Prioleau-Kairis (Timothy) of Darien, IL, Leon Elijah Prioleau of Bellwood, IL, Eva Nell Prioleau of Chicago, IL, Lawrence Simpson Jr. of Bellwood, IL, and Tommie Allen Simpson of Bellwood, IL. Great grandchildren, Jamail Allen King (deceased), Malique Prioleau, Leon Elijah Prioleau Jr., and Jamilah Alexis Cooper. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends.
