Lena Mary Coons

Lena is survived by her brother Raymond Ouellette, as well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents David and Mary; daughter Cecilia Gaudette and her husband Maurice; brothers Aime, Jim, and Armand Ouellette; sisters Rose Ouellette, Della Desjarlais, Violet Lafond, Tavie Inkster, Margaret Fisher, and Alvina James.

The funeral mass was held on Thursday December 9, 2010 from St. Vital Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Greg Elder as Celebrant. Ron Inkster gave the eulogy. Music ministry was by Doreen Gilles as organist and the St. Vital Church Choir. Honorary pallbearers were: David Inkster, Garry Fehr, Alfred Fisher, Dale Foulds, Keith Ouellette, and Ron Inkster. Pallbearers were: Jason Inkster, Sheldon Fehr, Andrew Ouellette, Colin Foulds, Cory Fonda, and Jody Foulds. The family have requested that memorial donations in Lena’s memory be made to the River Heights Lodge Auxiliary or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Interment took place at the Town of Battleford Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kristeen Nylander of Sallows & McDonald Funeral Home, North Battleford, SK. (306) 445-2418
