The family of Derek Joseph Favel is sad to announce his passing on Wednesday, January 4th, 2017 at the age of 53 years.
Derek is lovingly remembered by his sons Justin Curley and twins Blake and Finn Sonmor; sisters Judy, Rhonda (Leonard) and Stacey (Lucas); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Derek is predeceased by his grandparents Arthur and Virginie Favel; mother Rita Favel; father Kenneth Atcheynum; nephew Ryan Favel.
A wake will be held on Saturday, January 7th from the Poundmaker Veteran's Hall, Poundmaker Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday January 8th at 11:00 am, with band elders officiating at Poundmaker Veteran's Hall, Poundmaker Cree Nation. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Poundmaker Cemetery, with feast to follow at the hall.
