She is preceded in death by her parents, her step father Elmer Haun; her two brothers Debs and Oscar; her five sisters Ruth Lou Ellen, Rebecca Juanita, Naomi Gloria, Nancy Anne, and Emma Sue; and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by three brothers Major of Van Alstine, Texas, Robert and Joe of Norman; she has twenty-five nieces and nephews, many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Her favorite is Oscar, her white schnauzer who she has loved dearly for the last seven years.
Cathy worked at the Norman Veterans center for more than 25 years. She enjoyed taking care of the veterans and getting to know them.
Aunt “Cackie”, as she was known by her nephews and nieces, was passionate about documenting the moment with pictures. This was usually a crazy production with lots of laughter and groans. She loved singing around the piano with family and friends. When they were not available she would make due with her karaoke or just sing to herself, she always has a funny story or joke to tell.
She loved her old movies. When her great nieces and nephews came in, she was always ready for a board game or challenging game of WII bowling. She was the champion of WII bowling having scored several 300 games. Most of all she wanted “Oscar”, her dog to lie on the couch beside her so she could just pet him.
She lived with Sharon and Ronnie for the last ten years. She was very proud of her brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews and delighted in their accomplishments.
We know she is so happy to finally meet her daddy who she had never seen. She was always asking questions about him.
