Wilma A. Zyzak, 87, Midwest City, OK passed away unexpectedly at her home the afternoon of November 21. She was born May 22,1935 in Douglas, OK to Arthur and Lucille Anderson. She graduated from Garber High School and then attended Enid Business School, then went on to pursue a career in banking until she retired in May 1995.
She met her future husband while he was stationed at Vance AFB. They were married May 26, 1956 in Enid, OK. His military career allowed them to travel the world from California to North Africa before retiring in Midwest City.
Wilma will be remembered for her love of crochet and word search puzzles, her aptitude in the kitchen, and her love of travel. She was a very kind woman who put family before anything else.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Lucille Anderson, her sister Dorothy Story, brothers-in-law Conrad Story, and John Suttmiller, her children: David Zyzak, and Kristen Reed.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her husband of 66 years Richard, daughter Michelle and husband Bill Martin, son Michael and wife Cindy Zyzak, son-in-law Robert Reed. Grandchildren: Keith and wife Becky Zyzak, Amanda and husband Michael O’Brien, Jeremy Reed and fiancée Alyssa Thierer, Kelsee Zyzak and fiancé Luis Rodriguez, Monica Zyzak and fiancé Eric Kroier, Nickolas Zyzak and Clara Edwards, and Frank Zyzak. Great-grandchildren: McKenzie Waybright, Damien Reed, Reinna O’Brien, Korra O’Brien, and Charlotte Zyzak. Her sister Barbara Suttmiller. As well as many beloved nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
