Virginia Lee Hancock White, 80, of Norman, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 4, 2013 in Oklahoma City. She was born to Bertha (Torrance) and Archie Hancock in Buffalo, Oklahoma on October 3, 1932. Virginia graduated from high school in Laverne in 1950 and from Murray State College in 1974 with her degree in Nursing. She united in marriage with David Lee White on October 3, 1953.
Virginia was a Registered Nurse for over 35 years, working many years at OU Medical Center. She was a dedicated mother who liked to travel with her children. She was also an avid quilter and enjoyed crocheting.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband David White; parents Bertha and Archie Hancock; sisters Ila Peacock, Judy Hancock, Mary Crowder; and her brother Earl Baxter, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters Jeanne Warner, Cindy Leatherock, and Nancy Keller; son Michael White; grandchildren, Paige, Kyle, Zane, Jessica , Andrew, Farris and Kerri; great-grandchildren Blake, Alexis, Rylie, and David; brother Billy Hancock; sister Elsie Smith; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Virginia’s Life Celebration will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Primrose Chapel, with interment at Sunset Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Primrose Funeral Service, www.primrosefuneralservice.com.
