Valerie Baker

Valerie was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on June 21, 1970. She grew up in Letart, West Virginia and Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from Parkview High School in Springfield in 1987.

After high school, Valerie went to Drury University in Springfield, then on to Oklahoma City University Law School, where she graduated from in 1997.

Valerie started her career in law in private practice after graduating. Then she would go on to act as ADA for Oklahoma County, Canadian County, and Blaine County. Valerie was working with LASO (Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma) on domestic abuse within Grady County and Canadian County.

Valerie was an active member of her church, United Methodist Church of The Good Shepherd, a member of American Inns of Court, and the American Bar Association of Oklahoma.

She enjoyed reading, music, and spending time with her son, Clinton.

Valerie is preceded in death by Wilson K. Wood, her grandparents: Earl and Mary Keefer, and Walter and Wilma Blake.

Left to cherish her precious memory is her mother Carolyn Wood, her son Clinton Baker, her father Charles R. and his wife Linda Blake, sister Kim and her husband R.C. Blake, brother C.R. Blake and his fiancé KeithAnn Lee, uncle Jim and his wife Sandy Blake, aunt Patricia and her husband Eddie Lanham, aunt Jerri and her husband Olen Cross, aunt Dorothy Blake, uncle Charles Keefer, and many beloved cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Primrose Funeral Service, June 11, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
