Tim retired from the Moore Police Department in September of 2019 as a Major after 30 years of service to the community. Tim loved being a police officer and working the streets, with the majority of his patrol career spent on the night shift, where all the action was. Tim was highly respected by those he worked with and trained throughout his career.
If you asked Tim what his biggest contribution to the world was, he would tell you without blinking, it was his Son and American Hero, 1Lt David Timothy Wright II. Tim loved watching Timmy play Football and run the Hurdles in Track during his High School years. He continued to take great pride in supporting him in his Track career at OU as well. Finally, supporting Timmy through his Army Career and ensuring his sacrifice was never forgotten, was Tim’s number one goal.
Tim was an outdoors guy through and through and was so happy fishing the ponds on the farm or running his tractor and dozer. He was also a pretty handy mechanic and could repair just about anything with a little bit of help from YouTube.
Even though his last 2 years where very painful, he knew he would be reunited with Timmy and his Brother-In-Law Mike, when he made it to his forever home. Michele and family know there was a glorious reunion in heaven on December 15th for sure.
Tim is survived by his wife Michele Wright of Lexington and his Brother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law Mitch and Angie Scott and their children Hunter and Hailey, of Farmington, Minnesota.
Tim was proceeded in death by his Son, 1 Lt David Timothy Wright II and his Brother-In-Law Mike Scott.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the 1Lt David T. Wright II Bronze Beret Scholarship in the Army-ROTC department at OU. You may copy and paste the link below into your browser:
