Susan Marie Callen

Susan was born May 29, 1965, in Edmond, Oklahoma, to Don and Jeanne (Munday) Samara. She was raised in Edmond and graduated from Edmond High School in 1984. She moved to Norman right after graduation to attend the University of Oklahoma where she received her Master’s Degree in Sociology. Susan worked for DHS for three years. Susan married Blane Callen on July 31, 1988. She loved to travel and her favorite place to visit was Las Vegas. She loved horseback riding, reading, watching Law & Order and dancing.

She is survived by her husband, Blane, of the home; three children: Garrett, Melissa, and Chance; five siblings: Don Samara, Jr, Vickie Stover, Michelle Samara, Linda Lynch, Danny Samara; father-in-law: Nick Callen; brother-in-law: Seth Callen; aunt: Bitsy Barton; uncle: Tommie Munday; nieces and nephews: Donnie, Patrick, Charlie, Jeffrey, Kris, Leslie, Matthew, Emily, Josie and Nick.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Allyson Callen and stepfather: Bill Hardey.
