Steve was born to William and Katherine Whitman on June 3, 1971 at St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, California.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother Katherine.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years Carolyn, daughters Taylor and Maddie, son Cody, grandchildren Logan, Jayden, and Titus, fathers Bill and Tim, sisters Wendy and Gina, and many nieces and nephews.
Steve joined the Marine Corps after graduating from Kennedy High School in Fremont, California. After his military service, he joined the family business in San Francisco where he worked for nearly 20 years. After that, he relocated to Oklahoma to be closer to his parents after they retired. After moving to Oklahoma, he and Carolyn decided he would be a full time “Pop” to his grandchildren and “Nevets” (Steven spelled backwards) to Carolyn and kids.
His passions were his grandchildren, daily workouts at the gym, his dogs, and working in the garden.
Although his passing was truly unexpected and sudden, he was able to be surrounded by loved ones in this life and was welcomed by his mother Katherine in the next with open arms.
Per Steve’s and family request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family suggest a donation to the charity of your choice in Steve’s honor.
