Roberta “Bobbi” G. Kerr was born on September 29, 1943, in San Pedro, California. She was the daughter of Ben (Biological Father) and Phyllis Philimon (Tidd) Jewell. She was brought up in a military family, where her father Frank Johnson served in the United States Navy stationed in Las Vegas, Hawaii, Japan, and the east coast. She married Milas Kerr in Japan after attending High School. They married on June 28, 1962, in Japan, making their home in Oklahoma. She loved to sew, travel, old movies and music, especially big band music. She always had animals and would not hesitate to bring in others, a rescue or stray. She always had a smile and loved to laugh. She was a quiet prankster. She worked at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman retiring after thirty two years in 2005. Her husband preceded her in death in 2005. She continued to live in the family home and later moved to Edmond to be near her children and sister.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Phyllis Johnson; her two brothers, Charles Lane and Ben Johnson; and one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Williams who passed away in December 2015, from brain cancer.
She is survived by her daughter, Serena Williams Coelho, of Edmond, Oklahoma; one son, Curtis Kerr of Edmond; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one sister, Pam Delavega
Services are scheduled for Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 11:00 am, at the Primrose Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Terry Boston of Life Spring Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park.
