Rick Blalock

He was born in Paramount, California on January 4th, 1962 to Max Dwayne and Edith Lorene Blalock. His family moved to Oklahoma in the late 70’s.

He married Tamela Gentry on August 25, 1980. During their marriage they had 3 children.

Rick worked for the City of Norman for 25 years. He was also self employed until his health deteriorated,

Rick enjoyed spending time outdoors boating around the lake and fishing. He also loved gardening.

He enjoyed and cared very deeply for his grandchildren.

Rick was proceeded in death by his parents Edith and Dwayne Blalock, and his father in law James Gentry. He is survived by the mother of his children, Tamela Gentry, children Amanda Brummett husband Ryan, Dustin Blalock, wife Katelynn of Norman, Kaylee Blalock partner Justin of Moore, Grandchildren James, Casey, Chase, Harper, Nevaeh, Emily, Lila, Mother in Law Judy Gentry of Noble and many other family and friends

A visitation for Rick will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at IOOF Cemetery, 1913 N Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071.

The Family has invited friends and family to join them at Vans Pig Stand after the graveside at 11:00 AM. 320 N. Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071.
