Richard Lewis Randolph Jr., born on September 7, 1956, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, and entered eternal rest December 7, 2023. He was the cherished son of Edna Ruth Anderson and Richard Lewis Randolph Sr. For the majority of his journey, Richard called Oklahoma City home until he later found solace in the welcoming community of Lexington.
A proud graduate of Central State University (UCO), he carried the lessons and friendships from his Alma Mater throughout his life. His unique style was reflected in his fondness for plaid, a pattern that mirrored the distinctive threads of his personality. Yet, beyond fashion, Richard was known for his unwavering love for pets and family, the two constants that brought him immeasurable joy throughout his days.
Professionally, he achieved the esteemed title of Past Master of the Edmond Masonic Lodge, leaving an indelible mark on the Masonic community. Richard was also a dedicated member of the Edmond Masonic Lodge, Siloam Eastern Star Chapter, and the India Shrine, where his commitment to fraternity and service shone brightly.
His heart found its true home in the love he shared with Harriett Blair Birchett, his beloved life partner. Richard and Harriett had just returned from spending a week in Branson, Missouri celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. Though he has bid farewell to this earthly realm, Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and accomplishments that will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. In this time of grief, we remember Richard’s enduring spirit, his contributions, and the love that will continue to live on through the memories he leaves behind.
He is survived by the love of his life, Harriett Blair Birchett of the home; his stepson, William Birchett (Jennifer) of Prairie Ridge, Texas; brother, Glenn (Mary) of Stillwater; brother-in-law Charles Beason of Edmond; sisters, Ruth McAffrey (Jim) of Oklahoma City, Deborah Griffin of Broken Arrow, and Robin Buckallew (Fritz); 2 step brothers Ted and Tyler Jones; step sister Carrie Redding; 2 step grandchildren, Sarah and Brian Birchett; a host of nieces and nephews, family, and friends who will forever hold him dear.
