Myrtle was born in De Cordova, Texas on December 17, 1931 but grew up in Big Spring, Texas where she met and later married Ray Cline on November 13, 1948. They moved to Norman, Oklahoma in 1959 where they lived and raised their family. Myrtle worked as an administrative clerk at Central State Hospital and retired after many years of dedicated service. She was a long-standing member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Norman. She enjoyed square dancing, reading, card games and playing dominoes. But her greatest joys were found in the love she shared with her family. She always put their needs before her own and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her four children, Kay Sims (Victor Sims, deceased), Nicky Cline, Ellen Highland (Mark Highland), Terry Cline (Linda Cline), niece Mary Caveny (Ron Caveny, deceased) and nephew John Hart (Darlene Hart), also 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, several cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Robert Turner, mother Ethel Mae Petty Turner, sisters Nova Turner and Audie Baker, brothers Johnnie Turner, Dub Turner and Ocie Turner and her husband of 49 years, Ray Cline.
Viewing/visitation will be Sunday June 12, 2022 from 12:00 pm-5:00pm at Primrose Funeral, 1109 North Porter in Norman, Ok. A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday June 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the same location. Myrtle will be buried next to her husband Ray at Sunset Memorial Park, 2301 East Indian Hills Road in Norman, Ok.
