Maxine Baird McKnight was born November 11, 1917 in Williford, AR to Cassus & Ethel (Bottoms) Baird. She passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the age of 94 in Norman. Maxine was a graduate of Williford H.S in Williford, AR. After high school, Maxine married Curtis Lee McKnight and they had 61 wonderful years together until his death in 2000. One of her proudest moments in her 94 years was the birth of her son, Curtis. Maxine worked for the State of Washington Department of Transportation as a Clerical Supervisor. She had many hobbies that included growing roses, cooking, reading & teaching Sunday school. Maxine was a faithful member of the Alameda Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 Brothers & their spouses, Leonard Baird & wife Lucy, of Lebanon, IN and Marvin Baird & wife Jesse, of Hardy, AR; 1 Sister, Laura Figgins & husband Glenn of Caruthersville, MO.
She is survived by her son, Curtis & wife Michelynn of Norman; 2 Brothers, Thomas Baird & wife Lorera, of Rolla, MO and Chester Baird & wife Irene of Williford, AR; and 2 Sisters, Geraldine Gateley of Olympia, WA and Sue Baird Warren of Louisville, KY; 11 Nieces and 12 Nephews.
