Leon Barnard

He was born in Norman on August 6, 1945 to Ocie and Nadine (King) Barnard.

Leon was number 7 of 9 children. He was a beloved son, brother and husband, “Daddy”, “Pop”, and uncle.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, hunting, training his bird dogs, spending time and sharing stories with family and friends.

Leon is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Inabelle, his brothers: Alvin, Lewis “Bee”, Glenn, Bobby, and Jerry Wayne, sisters-in-law: Sherry Barnard, and Phyllis Barnard, and his granddaughter Kara Chisum.

Left to cherish his precious memory are his wife of 57 years, Jacquetta “Jackie” Barnard, his daughters: Carrie and her husband Tracy Miller, and Cheryl and her husband Gary Hamblin, his brothers: Charles and his wife Becky Barnard, and JC and his wife Betty Barnard, his sisters-in-law: Toy Barnard, Gloria Barnard, and Dovie Barnard, his grandchildren: Ashley Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Brandon Chisum, Charles Cody Hamblin, and Crease Hamblin, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
