Keith Wheeler, born on November 18, 1983, in Abilene, Texas, to Bill and Wanda Wheeler, passed away on October 3, 2024, in Norman, Oklahoma. Although Keith faced many struggles in life, he had recently started to turn things around, finding purpose in helping others. He knew he might never have the financial means to make a large impact in the world, but he used his talents in meaningful ways to serve those in need. Whether it was repairing homes through the Christmas in April program or offering rides to elderly neighbors to the grocery store, Keith was always searching for ways to lend a hand. His generosity was boundless—he literally gave the shirt off his back because he knew he had another at home.
Keith will be deeply missed by the family and friends he leaves behind. He is preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Marie Wheeler; grandparents, Ben and Dorothy Wheeler, Hoy Richardson, and Zonia Howard; his daughters, Shawna Wanda, Elizabeth Ann, and Lily McKayla Grace; his uncles, Keith Wheeler and Andrew Richardson; and his aunt, Leanne Chaffin.
He is survived by his sons, Benjamin Wheeler of Missouri, Carlos Sanchez-Wheeler of Norman, and Dylan Wheeler of the home; his parents, Bill and Delinda Wheeler; his grandparents, Richard and Dolores Hedger; his brother, Danny Robb; his sister, Kristi Wheeler; his niece, Jacquelyn Weeks; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who he considered family.
Keith’s legacy of service, kindness, and compassion will live on through the many lives he touched.
A memorial for Keith will be held on October, 26, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Crestview Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. 7715 S Hiwassee Rd. Oklahoma City, OK 73150.
