Judith "Judy" Darlene Lister

Judy graduated from Anoly High School in Sebastopol, California, in 1962, and later attended Cosmetology School. Throughout her life, she was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed creating a loving home for her family. She was raised in the Assembly of God faith and later became affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church during her high school years.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Richard Lister Jr., and by her brothers Kenneth Bowers, Billy Bowers, and Don Bowers. She also was preceded in death by her sisters, Patricia Gentry and Imogene Bowers.

She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Kilby of Placerville, California; her son, James R. Lister III and his wife Lynette of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; her daughter Jennifer Elaine Bradley and her husband George of Choctaw, Oklahoma; and her sister Rhonda Howard of Hilmar, California. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Ashley Van Buren, Tor Kilby and wife Taylor, Kyla Lister, James R. Lister IV, Alan Lister, Christopher Jordan Rhineberger, Jonathan James Rhineberger, and Nicholas Andrew Rhineberger; and her great grandchildren: Madison Van Buren, Hunter Van Buren, Caroline Kilby, Freya Kilby, Tobias “Toby” Lister, Liam Smith, Phoenix Smith, and Aiyana T. Collins.

A funeral service for Judy will be held Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. Judy will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 2301 E. Indian Hills Rd., Norman, Oklahoma 73071.

Judy’s memory will live on through her family and the many lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and love. She will be greatly missed.
