The heartache caused by loss is something that will never go away. At first our hearts are pierced with agonizing pain. Every thought and memory brings our loved one back to life in our minds and hearts and they are ripped away by reality once more. After some time passes and our new reality takes hold, the sharpness softens, but that pain always remains. Jessica Hanna was as strong as she was compassionate. She was gentle. She was fierce. Jessica was the epitome of the collection of virtues that we all strive for. Friends and family came first with Jessica. The shirt on her back was yours if you needed it. The smile on your face meant more to her than the price it took to put it there. Blessed with natural talents, she had the potential to go to the moon and back. Unfortunately her time was cut short as was her gifts to this world. Hug your loved ones a little tighter. Listen to the details in their voice and memorize them. Take more pictures. Take more videos. Slow time down a little. We never know when it’s our last chance to do so.
We love you Jessica.
