Family and friends must say an early farewell to their beloved father, son, uncle, and grandfather, Jeffery Alan Baldwin, “Jeff”, who passed on April 5th, 2021 in Norman, OK. at the age of 65. Jeff was born on February 2nd, 1956 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Harry and Carol Baldwin. Jeff married Carol Jean Reynolds on March 28th, 2008. His family knew him as a kind, patient, driven individual who encouraged them to pursue their goals and dreams.
In 1974, (75), Jeff enlisted in the United States Air Force with a MOS, (military occupational specialty) in Intelligence. After his enlistment was over, Jeff enrolled at UNM, (University of New Mexico) where he attained his bachelor’s degree and became an accomplished private investigator. He received his master’s in economics from OU, (The University of Oklahoma.) In 1982, Jeff accepted his commission from the United States Air Force as an Instructor Weapons Director Officer who trained new weapons officers for the 966th AWACS, (Airborne Warning and Control System). Jeff loved to go for long runs and was passionate about books and helping others. He was an active and dedicated member of Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church. One of Jeff’s favorite hobbies was photography. He loved snapping pictures of his travels, but more importantly, he immensely enjoyed taking pictures of his family. Jeff cherished being the man behind the camera capturing photos and videos at family events and holidays. Jeff volunteered at shelters in Norman, serving food to those in need. Not only did he volunteer at shelters, but he also volunteered for the Noble Public library, promoting child literacy at Noble Public Schools. Jeff selected a Sequoyah book for each grade level. He went by the alias, “Library Jeff” which suited him well, since he was employed by the Noble Public Library since 2007 and used his love of photography to take pictures of the Children Sequoyah Books for the summer reading program.
