Thelma Imogene Claypool, 81, went to be with our Lord on July 31, 2018. Thelma was born on June 27, 1937 at Poteau, Oklahoma.
The family moved to Horntown, Oklahoma in 1948 where she grew up and went to Moss School.
Thelma liked to be called Jean, short for Imogene. Jean worked outside the home at some manufacturing plants, cook, waitress, and was a manager of her own business.
She enjoyed going riding on Dad’s motorcycle, going on trips, and later going on cruises with her family. She loved gardening and canning her own food. She also loved being around her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Jean is survived by her brother, Glenn Yarbrough of Kellyville; her 7 children, John Moles and wife T.J. of Newalla, Donald Moles and wife Brenda of Noble, Pamela Arthur and husband Russel of Lamar, Jeff Moles and wife Cindy of Harrah, Darla Shipman of Lexington, Barbara McFarland of Moore, Regina Spear-Martinez and husband Louis of Del City; niece Barbara Ann Hunter of Mustang; 24 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews, and other loving family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Lee Claypool; parents, father Silas Mancle Yarbrough and mother Velma Corrine; brothers D.C., R.B., Darrel Yarbrough, Vance Spear, Herb Shipman, Shane Crawford, Dylan Shipman; son-in-law David Ruppert; and 1 great grandchild, Blace Lamb Shipman.
Visitation will be 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, Friday, August 3, 2018 at Primrose Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Primrose Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
