He was the son of Jason LeeRoy Miller and Mary Mabel Robinson Miller. Jason was born in Norman, Oklahoma where he attended the high school of Norman High. Jason excelled in track, basketball and fast-pitch softball, representing the city of Norman very well on many occasions. Following in his father’s footsteps, Jason went to work for Oklahoma Natural Gas. He later became a custodian for the Norman Public School Systems until retirement. He personally took care of Jackson Elementary School and other public schools as needed for many, many years. He took great pride in his work and was loved by staff and students alike. Jason was a lifetime member of Goodrich Methodist Church in Norman. There he served in many capacities. He had a great love for the Lord and his church. Not only was Jason a gifted athlete but a gifted artist as well. He sketched, painted with oils and watercolors, and spent a lot of his time wood working. He was a true craftsman in all aspects. His home was always adorned with lots of hand crafted decorations especially during the holidays. Jason was an avid gardener and really enjoyed growing different species of irises and lilies as evidenced by a beautiful backyard full of flowers in the springtime.
Joe, Kris, Leslie and Lauren Miller are deeply grateful to and want to personally thank the amazing staff at Grace Living Center in Norman and Dr. Merrill for the love and care they provided their Uncle Jason over the past several years.
Jason is survived by several nieces and nephews and his family and friends at Grace Living Center.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jason LeeRoy Miller and Mary Mabel Miller, his brothers: Ralph LeeRoy Miller, Ray Durland Miller, Joseph Earl Miller, and Roy Benjamin Miller; and his sister Martha Marguerite Miller.
