James Stevenson

Jim was full of life, the life of the party and had a big personality that made everyone feel good. When you saw Jim, he would almost always have his fishin hat on and his coffee cup in hand. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who was everyone’s number one fan. He could always be heard from the stands cheering his loved ones on. Jim was an All State Football player for the Muskogee Roughers and then went on to play for the University of Oklahoma under the direction of Bud Wilkinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Stevenson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Barbara Stevenson; sons: James Stevenson, Jr. (Dusty), Kevin Carl Stevenson, and Kyle Stevenson (Pamela); grandchildren: Cassidy, Kevin, Jr., Taylor and Blake Stevenson; siblings: Patricia Chapin (Keith), Gary Stevenson (Mary), John Stevenson (Sheryl), and David Stevenson (Beverly); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, January 12, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor David Nehrenz officiating.
