Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM Friday at the First Baptist Church in Norman with the Rev. Wade E. Smith and Rev. Paul Abner officiating. Services are under the direction of Primrose Funeral Service.
Mr. Wyatt was born August 19, 1926 near Depew, to Bert and Maude (Turner) Wyatt. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign with the 43rd Infantry Division during World War II, in the Philippines and Japan.
On December 15, 1946, he married the one true love of his life, Dorothy Elaine Davidson in Cherokee, Oklahoma. Before moving to Norman in 1954, Mr. Wyatt worked as a printer for newspapers in Cherokee, Oklahoma, Hugoton, Kansas and Neosho, Missouri, and owned The Haven Journal in Haven, Kansas. After retiring from The Norman Transcript and The Transcript Press, he drove a school bus for Norman Public Schools, retiring in 2010.
Mr. Wyatt was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents of Bristow, Oklahoma; two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy, of the home; daughter, Brenda Homburg and husband Jim of Terre Haute, Indiana; son, Steve and his wife, Tracie of Ponca City, Oklahoma; son, Kendall of Fallon, Nevada; sister, Marjorie Downing of Skiatook, Oklahoma; sister, Mary Tilbury and husband George of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

After the service, the family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church.
