Helen Virginia Shaw

In October of 1948, Helen married the love of her life, Thomas Roy Shaw, in Greenville, Mississippi. They shared many wonderful years together before his passing in 1980.

After graduating high school, Helen attended business school and went on to live in Tennessee and Maryland before settling in Norman, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Eastern Star, where she made lasting friendships and was known for her kindness and generosity.

Helen is survived by her two children, Donna Louise Shaw and Thomas Michael Shaw and his spouse, Kathryn Shaw; as well as two great-grandchildren, Kadi Peters and Jason Long. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Elsie Myers, and her beloved husband, Thomas.

A graveside service will be held in Helen’s honor on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Norman IOOF Cemetery.

Helen will be dearly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
