Helen Novalee Collett

She was born September 27, 1932 in Noble to Ray and Maude Miller. She married Eugene Collett on May 30, 1951 in Norman. They were married for almost 63 years.

Helen graduated Noble High School in 1951 where she enjoyed playing basketball which she carried on into her adult years. She enjoyed playing the piano and always played from memory. She sang with the Sweet Adelines. Above all she loved spending time with and taking care of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Janean Collett of Noble, Victor (Nancy) Collett of Noble, Stan Collett of Noble; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; siblings: Elsie Baker of The Woodlands, TX, Charlie Miller of Norman, Joyce Carle of Noble; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter-in-law Carol Collett; two grandsons; siblings: Freida Jones, Jane VandenBerg, Harold Miller, Sylvia Miller.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday February 14, 2018 at Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, OK. Funeral Service will be at 2 pm Thursday February 15, 2018 at Robinson Street Baptist Church, Norman. Burial will follow at Norman IOOF Cemetery. Brother Bill Blair will officiate.
