Glenn Alan Clark, born on November 4, 1959, in Norman, Oklahoma, peacefully departed from us on November 17, 2023 transitioning to his eternal home. He was the beloved son of James and Barbara Clark of Moore, Oklahoma.
Glenn’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and unwavering commitment. On March 19, 1983, he embarked on a beautiful journey of marriage with the love of his life, Jamie. A union blessed by God, from which blossomed the joy of their two daughters, Jessica and Jerri.
Glenn was with the Oklahoma City Fire Dept. from February 1, 1980 till July 31, 2008. From his earliest years, firefighter was what wanted to be. He would listen to fires all over America; Chicago, LA and Houston. He loved the people and those fire engines. I sometimes said when we were first married, “I wonder if he loved me or those fire trucks most.”
Glenn loved raising cattle and goats. He could sit out in the pasture and watch them graze and move for what seemed like hours studying them. He thought a hay meadow was beautiful.
Glenn has been a member at Pleasant Hill FWB for about 37 years. He loves the lord and the lord blessed us with a loving church family. He loves all of you very much. He was a man who didn’t always show his feelings – usually, he picked on someone if he liked them. Glenn was a loving daddy and papa. He worked two jobs most of Jessica and Jerri’s early life. He was a dad who laughed and played, and yes picked on his girls.
As a husband, I couldn’t of had a better. Glenn wasn’t perfect, but no one is this side of Heaven. We had forty wonderful years together. And dated one year before that. We worked, laughed and loved together. I was blessed beyond measure to be his wife.
I will praise God for the wonderful life we had. And thank him for Glenn.
Left to cherish Glenn’s memory are his loving wife Jamie of the home; daughters, Jessica Baker and Jerri Keith and her spouse Josh Keith; parents, James and Barbara Clark; granddaughters, Navayah Caldwell, Makayla Caldwell, Payton Baldridge; sister, Karen Sue Baker and her spouse Ronnie; brother, Eldon Woods and his spouse Cindy; six nieces and one nephew.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., at the Calvary Church in Norman with Jason Meyer officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 20th from 6-8 p.m.
