She was born in Everett, Washington on August 7, 1934 to Stanley and Mabel Davis. She has one older brother, Stanley Davis, and one younger sister, Shirley Pinkerton.
She met the love of her life, Jim White, in 1958 at the Navigator’s headquarters, Glen Eyrie. They were married on April 2, 1961 and celebrated their 60th anniversary this past year.
They often spent their mornings reading and meditating on God’s word, praying for family and friends, and listening to praise music. They worked together throughout the years in student ministry and marriage counseling, and finished the last thirty years working with Chinese students helping them with their English, offering friendship, and introducing them to Jesus.
Many people came to faith in Christ through their obedience to love and care for people, and their boldness to share the gospel in due time.
Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mabel Davis and her youngest son, Jimmy White, who made his decision to follow Jesus 6 months prior to his death.
She is survived by her husband, Jim White, her son and his wife, Rodney and Kellie White, her daughter, Valerie McCall, 4 grandchildren, Kelcie Brown and her husband Nick, Trey McCall, Daniel White and his fiancé Alex Austin, Nathan White and his wife Julia, and 1 great-grandson, Samuel Brown. She is also survived by her 2 siblings, Stanley Davis and his wife Carol, Shirley Pinkerton and her husband Harold, several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces/-nephews.
