George completed the 8th grade in Kansas. George ended up orphaned, as he was separated from his mother and sister, living temporarily with his father until he was taken to an institution. He later on became a Corporal in the Army from 1952 to 1954 serving in Korea.
On June 8, 1953, George, 20, married the love of his life, Lois, 16, in Los Vegas, New Mexico. They were married for 72 years that were filled with laughter and joy. George taught Lois everything she knew.
George is preceded in death by his parents, sister, and granddaughter Amy Covington.
Those left to cherish George’s memory is his wife Lois of the home; daughters Sue Flores and Deta Re’ Bennett; granddaughter Tara Price; great grandchildren Isaac, Jesse, Rocco, Cliff, George, Brent, Keligh, Madden, and Miles.
A visitation for George will be held Monday, September 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service, 1109 North Porter Ave, Norman, OK 73071. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Primrose Funeral Service. Interment will occur immediately after at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery located at 2301 E Indian Hill Rd., Norman, Oklahoma, 73071.
