Gene married his soul mate and the love of his life, Melia Quebedeaux, on August 20 1954 in Shreveport LA. They spent the next 64 years together falling deeper in love and becoming each others best friend.
Gene was employed by the University of Oklahoma Flying School as an Aircraft Mechanic and Ground School Instructor at Max Westheimer Airfield. He retired in 1988.
After his retirement Gene began his hobby of building from scratch radio controlled airplanes. Never satisfied with the design of the planes he would redesign the planes often enlarging them to support the gas engines he used. His wife and family would like to thank the staff at Medical Park West and the nurses and aides from Crossroads Hospice for the care and compassion they showed him.
