Eddie Tyler

He was born September 14, 1940 in the beautiful small town of Stanley, OK surrounded by the Kiamichi Mountains.

Eddie was preceded in death by his mother Ethel Vivian Howard Tyler and Father Clayton Thomas Tyler; sister Lou Jackson; brothers, Carl and Truman; grandson Loren W. Amack II

Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life and wife, Thelma Roberta Rollins Tyler; sister, Joy Pigott; daughters, Debbie, Barbara & April; stepsons, Donny & Ronny Williamson; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren that he loved unconditionally

Eddie was always happy, and full of laughter. He brought happiness to those around him, and he enjoyed being around his friends and family. He loved his sweet wife Roberta more than any man could love a wife. Through the love of Roberta, he found faith, and with his love and faith, he found forgiveness.

Eddie had many challenges during his adolescence, far more than most. Yet he rose from that and became the person we all want to be in life. Eddie enjoyed his family, friends, and even the stranger he may meet at Wal-Mart, McDonalds, or the doughnut shop.

He loved to sing for those who were near, and he was quick with wit and loved to banter. Whenever Eddie was not working, he always had Roberta by his side, no matter what. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, and in his younger years riding motorcycles. Our hearts are filled with love for the time we had with him on this earth. We’re forever grateful and will miss him dearly. We rejoice in knowing that he is with our father in heaven singing praises to the Lord.

We give thanks to our family and friends that have helped us all through these challenging times.

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday March 20, 2019 and again from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday March 21, 2019 at Primrose Funeral Service, Norman, OK. Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday March 22, 2019 at Goodrich United Methodist Church, 200 W. Hayes Norman, OK. Burial will follow at Blackburn Cemetery, Norman, OK.
