Donna K. Goodman

1942 – 2010

We want to honor and celebrate the life of Donna Kaye. Remembering her warm smile, thoughtfulness, grace and strength. Donna passed away on May 19, 2010. She was born in 1942 to Karey and Bernice (Dempsey) Fuqua and raised in Lawton, OK.

Donna was married to Michael Goodman for 41 years. They were blessed with a daughter, Natalie. Michael's military career moved the family to many states and Germany. Donna was awarded many times for helping other military families.

The family settled in Norman in 1994; in the home where her grandparents and parents had lived. Donna was active in PEO Chapter BP and is a Past- President of her Chapter. She had a long time friendship with "The Ladies" of Lawton, OK. Donna especially enjoyed gardening, reading, OU Women's Basketball and the beautiful aspens and sunsets in the mountains of Red River, New Mexico.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Michael; daughter, Natalie; sister Patti and husband Tom and their sons Steve, wife Kristen and Brian, and wife Jen. In-laws include George and Marg Goodman, Paul and Germaine Yaney, Dave and Lee Stratton, Ken and Joan Bobay. She enjoyed the friendship of numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service being held at Primrose Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 27, 2010.

The Goodman and Johns family wish to thank the staff at the Cade Cancer Center, OU Physicians and especially Dr. Kurkjian and Phyllis. Also, Ross Health Care, with a special thank you to Kim, Becky and Melissa for the wonderful care they provided to Donna during her final journey.
