He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After serving his county, Donald worked for Lucent Technologies, where he was a supervisor for many years.
Donald loved to watch his beloved OSU cowboys no matter what sport they were playing. He also enjoyed playing golf and softball. In his younger years, Donald coached baseball and softball.
He leaves behind a wife, Maggie, of the home; one son, Farron Sweetin of Norman; one granddaughter Shelby Sweetin; two brothers, JL Parks and wife Barbara of Houston, TX, and Gary (Butch) Parks and wife Nancy of Wynnewood; six nephews and one niece and their families.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents; one son Stevie Don Parks; one daughter Cindy Sweetin; and two sisters, Orville Winters and Jo Hill.
