Dennis Monroe Danley, 71, passed away on April 26, 2021, in Norman, OK. He was born July 31, 1949, to Emory “Dick” Danley Jr. and Vida Vaught Danley, in Norman, OK. He graduated from Norman High School in 1967. He was a military veteran, serving time in the Navy and Army. Dennis married Carol Miller in 1971 and had two daughters. He was a prominent businessman in Norman, creating Sooner Trophies, and later took over Blair’s Small Engines. He went on to work at Tinker AFB, until he retired. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He was a member at Central church of christ in Moore, OK, a devout Christian, and loved the Lord. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, where he was a member of the Norman Bass Anglers Association, and also an avid OU Sooners fan. We will forever miss your quirky jokes, serenading us with Elvis songs, and the funny stories you’d tell everyone because you never met a stranger. Dennis is survived by his two daughters, Amy Gamble and husband Hurley “Raider” Gamble, Becky Stein and fiancé Robb Fulton; his grandchildren Regan, Caelyn, Brayden, Kayden, and Kaleb; sister Chere Williams, and husband Mickey; brothers Steve Danley and wife Debbie, Jeff Danley and wife Linda, and many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, and youngest brother Don “Dondi” Danley. A service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021, at 2 pm. New Heights Baptist Church, 1414 SW 119th, OKC. Interment of ashes will be at Warren Cemetery in Norman, OK on a later date.
