He met the love of his life, Thelma Jean Oliver (His Blondie) and united in marriage for 48 years.
He was a member of Everlasting Life Baptist Church since 1988. At ELBC, he was the head deacon, VBS van driver for many years, singles ministry leader and help with the children in Awana. He was a godly man and what he loved the most was ministering to the lost and telling others about the Lord Jesus Christ. He served in the Navy and then he worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) for 35 years. He also had his own business, C & T Enterprises, for 22 years.
Charles loved traveling with his wife, studying God’s Word and gardening. He also loved to spend time with family & friends making us laugh and always acted silly to make us laugh.
He was proceeded in death by father, Charles Oliver; mother, Charlesetta Vaden; brother, Walter “Skip” Jefferson; sisters, Linda Banks and Joy Lee Vaden.
Charles is survived by his wife Thelma Oliver; children, Mike Young (Melissa) of Temecula, CA; Christie Davis (Tony) of Burleson, TX; Leotis Young (Sherri) of Norman, OK; Shelly Young of Irving, TX and Charles Campbell of Sherman, TX. His brothers and sisters – Johnzetta (Vaden) Fraizer of Atlanta, GA; Janice Vaden of Oklahoma City, OK; Joan Vaden of Oklahoma City, OK; Jacqueline Vaden of Moore, OK; Kenneth Vaden of Tulsa, OK; Kevin Vaden of Sacramento, CA; Aunt Edwina Pettis of Seattle, WA; Uncle Larry Jeffries of Oklahoma City, OK; special friends Mike & Sharon Mims, Churchill, Norman & Whitley families and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren and other loving extended family members and friends.
