On June 14, 1960 Jd married his sweetheart Monzetta “Monty” Ray. For the last sixty years she has been by his side in all of life’s adventures. Together they had three children, nine grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Jd loved to hunt and fish. He looked forward to deer season every year, often preparing for it months in advance. Jd love to spend time outdoors. He created many lasting memories with his family from camping trips and road trips to simple evenings at home cooking on the grill or sitting outside sharing his wisdom. He was always patient with his children and grandchildren as he taught them so much including how to hunt, fish, work on cars, cook, garden and so much more.
He loved collecting pictures of his family. Anyone who knew Jd, knew that his family meant more to him than anything else in the world. His favorite saying was “I love you mostest”. He was unendingly proud of his children and grandchildren and they knew they were loved beyond measure.
