Bill was born on December 11, 1947 in Odessa, Texas to Billy Gene Price and Ruth Ell (Stokes) Price. He was the oldest of four boys. Bill graduated from De Leon High School in De Leon, Texas. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1966 and was soon sent to war in Vietnam. He was wounded in combat and awarded the Purple Heart. Bill struggled with PTSD most of his life but was able to find peace in his later years.
In 1972, Bill met the love of his life, Lequita Wagner and they built a life together for 27 years. They remained friends until his death. Bill worked in the oil field and as a machinist most of his working life.
Bill was a kind and generous man with a great sense of humor. His laughter was infectious and he will be missed by all that knew him. He loved nature, animals, watching TV, listening to music, telling tall tales, napping, smoking and Snicker candy bars. He would want everyone to know that he didn’t like fishing.
